Services We Provide

At Pacific Mindscape, we bring extensive expertise to the field of general psychiatric care, addressing a broad spectrum of mental health challenges with compassion, precision, and evidence-based practices. Our team specializes in diagnosing and treating mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, and other complex conditions, offering personalized care plans that align with each individual's unique needs and goals. Whether providing psychotherapy, optimizing psychiatric medications, or addressing the broader context of well-being, we approach mental health care holistically. With a deep understanding of the interplay between physical, emotional, and psychological well-being, we are committed to empowering our patients to achieve lasting wellness and regain control over their lives.
Healing Touch is an energy-based therapeutic practice that promotes physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual healing. Practitioners use gentle hand techniques, either touching or hovering above the body, to help balance and restore the body’s natural energy flow. This helps activate the body's self-healing processes, reduce stress, and promote relaxation.
Developed by nurse Janet Mentgen in the 1980s, Healing Touch is based on principles of energy healing and aligns with traditional Eastern practices such as Reiki. Practitioners undergo specific training and certification to safely assess and address energy imbalances. Often used as a complementary therapy, Healing Touch can aid in reducing anxiety, managing pain, and supporting recovery in a variety of medical and wellness settings.
Spiritual counseling helps individuals explore and strengthen their beliefs to find meaning, peace, and alignment with their values. For some, spiritual counseling involves religious beliefs, while for others, it centers on inner wisdom or a broader connection to the universe. This approach blends traditional counseling with spiritual practices like mindfulness, meditation, or prayer to address emotional and existential concerns. At Pacific Mindscape, we tailor this process to your unique journey. It can be particularly beneficial for those facing depression, anxiety, trauma, or existential distress, offering support through life’s challenges and a deeper sense of purpose. By integrating emotional and spiritual well-being, Pacific Mindscape provides a holistic path to healing that fosters resilience, clarity, and renewed meaning.
This evaluation is a “psychiatric intake plus” for patients that are dealing with serious physical illnesses and dealing with emotional, psychological, spiritual and or mental distress and will incorporate a broader look at the many dimensions of suffering that a patient may be experiencing when facing such illness. The palliative psychiatry intake will keep in mind the many concerns that enter into the life of a person who may have had medical trauma, has multiple medical co-morbidities or is facing a shortened lifespan as well as determine a course of action appropriate to his/her condition. These patients may have cancer that is in remission but are suffering from depression or anxiety that does not seem to respond to traditional therapy or they may also be closer to the end of their lives and find themselves extremely anxious about facing their mortality. At Pacific Mindscape, we will perform a full assessment and design a path for healing together.
Dignity Therapy is a type of short-term, structured psychotherapy developed specifically for people facing the end of life, usually those with terminal illness. Its primary goal is to help individuals maintain or enhance a sense of dignity as they approach death. Created by Dr. Harvey Chochinov, a Canadian psychiatrist and researcher, Dignity Therapy is designed to give patients an opportunity to reflect on and document meaningful aspects of their lives, particularly the values, memories, and achievements they want to be remembered by. This information is used to create a narrative document for the patient, providing them with a tangible legacy that can be shared with loved ones.
