  • We do not accept insurance at this time. The limitations put on practice by insurance companies impede our goal of helping our patients achieve meaningful, measurable and sustainable change. For your convenience, we offer free insurance reimbursement support through Reimbursify. Reimbursify is a company that helps patients file out-of-network (OON) claims. Even though we do not accept insurance, many insurance companies will reimburse you directly for appointment fees with Pacific Mindscape clinicians. This plan means our patients get free out-of-network claims filing through Reimbursify and Reimbursify’s priority claim support. You can verify your out-of-network benefits to better understand what your cost of care will be. Most individuals who have a PPO will have out-of-network benefits. For general psychiatric services, we do not accept patients with Medicare, even if you are self-pay. We do accept patients with Medicare for transformative and psychedelic care.

  • If you are in a life-threatening situation or immediate danger, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room for immediate assistance. For calls, emails or texts after hours, please be aware that we do not offer 24-hour support. Our voicemail will direct you to contact 911 or a crisis hotline if you need immediate help.

  • During the initial assessment your clinician will gather essential information to understand a patient’s mental health needs. The intake starts with exploring the main concerns and symptoms that brought the patient to seek help. This is followed by a review of your history, including any past diagnoses, treatments, and medications. Clinicians may also inquire about substance use, family background, social relationships, and sources of support. Educational and work history are also discussed to identify any impacts on performance or daily functioning. The intake concludes with recommendations for treatment options or further assessments as appropriate.

  • The frequency of appointments depends on individual needs. Some patients may be seen weekly or bi-weekly, while others may be seen monthly or less frequently for medication management.

  • Please bring a list of any medications you are currently taking, your medical and mental health history, and any relevant records from previous providers.
